Tomorrow

Grief catches in my throat

Like a pill I

Cannot swallow

The places you once filled

In my heart, now

Feel so hollow

We breathe and then we don't

That's the nature

Of existence

The end approaches and

We meet it with

Great resistance

But memories of you

Create a smile

Upon my face

Because the light you brought

Into my life

Can't be erased

You lived for every laugh

And you gave love

Through many tears

You made your presence known

As you broke down

Each wall of fears

So while today is hard

There will still be

A tomorrow

And I won't let myself

Fill more time with

All this sorrow

Because that's not something

A shining soul

Like you would do

You'd say, "Enjoy the day

Go share the light

I shared with you"

when the sun settles down upon the ground I am found by the bliss that exists between the sun-kissed sand and the sky
